How the draft order was selected, by Eric Johnson:

"I wrote everyone's name on a list, attached to a letter from a-k. I emailed that list to Chris & Thad for integrity purposes.

Kevin and I talked over Skype, and used the chat function also. Kevin chose a letter, and I chose a number between one and one hundred.

We simultaneously IM'ed each other these pieces of data.

Putting together, we'd have a name and a number, for instance Eric 12.

We googled "Eric," and went to the 12th page that came up under that google search. For me, it was the homepage of the children's book writer/illustrator Eric Carle.

We then viewed the source code for that page. We ignored all html tages (html, head, body) and looked for the line that contained the first occurence of the first letter of the person's name.

Say that was line 5. We counted 5 spaces down from the last person whose spot had been set, (skipping spaces where there was already a person, and counting mod 12) and that was where Eric would draft.

Repeat until everyone has a spot. It took about 45 minutes, and we consumed four beers among the two of us.

Any questions?"
