Started to replicate the posts on the boards from the season, but then realized the task was a little too tedious. Need to write a scraping program I guess. But, here's a few weeks of posts in case you'd like to get a taste of what the boards are all about...

Its that time again to break down the matchups for week 8 in the Pinecrest league. We are in for another huge week of smack talking and skull crushing action. Lets take a look..

Game Over Vs. Mushroomhead Ale:

Smack talking edge definitely goes to KK this week. Brewing up a Victory?? Hopefully the brewing will transpire sans cock? Good times for sure. Is Kinell going to stick with the horrible Alex Smith vs. Chicago Matchup here? Are you kidding me? Ouch. Maroney has yet to seperate himself from Dillion in NE and Gonzales is being terribly underutilized this season by the Chefs. Tough week for Game Over.. you may win the smack, but you are losing the game.

Twist of Mash vs. Pink Shirt Not Gay

Twist of Mash is front here in terms of smackerooni with McCarroll still wielding his subpar smack from last week. Believe it or not when you look at the game the QB matchup edge has to go with the Idaho Spud here. Grossman is playing a pathetic niner defense, while Manning is up against the donkey show defense that has only given up 2 TDs all season. From there it gets a little more even, maybe giving pinky an edge in Running backs due to matchups and freedom fries an edge on the wide reciever front. McCarroll's Wali Lundy pickup was awesome and may win him the game. My pick is Thad on this one.

Tent Jumpers Vs. Ham on 5

Gotta give the edge to the Clampers when you look at the Smack edge, hitting home with some solid trophy party pokes. Ham needs to warm up the smack with comments about a QB that was on last week's team. Barring an unfortunate series of natural disasters the athletic temporary edifice hoppers are going to wipe the floor with the non-koser fruit salad.

Autumn Shockers Vs. Dutch Picnic

Although Autumn Shocker's smack is talking about the wrong Robeson I am going to give him some bonus points. I was in Vegas this week and I ended up ordering some drinks from Autumn. The thought of giving her a shocker made me feel warm and fuzzy. That being said we are in definite need of some fresh smack here. When you look at the game you gotta give MJ the advantage on the QB front. Nice Eli matchup against a horribly underachieving Buc defense. Bulger will have a tough day against the bolts even with the Merry Man suspended due to his roid rage. However, when you look at the rest of the roster Mike is going down. In terms of WRs Moss is going to have a tough day against the Steelers and Coles, although he has a great matchup is hobbled with a calf injury. The deciding factor here has to be running backs James has been dog poop all season long and Ruben Droughs is spending his season auditioning for the arena league. It will be a good Sunday for Yogi and Booboo. Pic-i-nic baskets for everyone!

Dotty Drunkards vs. Smackmybitchup

Worst smack matchup of the year so far. The bitch should really only be smacking himself up here being the league leader in bye week starts. Even if Hashem decides to start some players that are actually playing the metally challenged inebriates will walk away with this one unopposed.

Dance Systems Activate vs. Skinny White Guys

The smack here is too close to call as we are awaiting return fire from the Ethiopians. League votes so far give the edge to Brad, but the boogie boys have the advantage in terms of projected points. However, the winner of this game is obvious. Dance Systems will win simply based on his good looks and charm as well as his incredibly insightful Leon Washington pickup.

So thats week 8... Here's to going 6-0!

Hey Kev, we should keep pick records for some prize at the end of the season. That would rock and it might increase voting participation!

And as remember as Madonna might say... YOU CAN DANCE!

A few Friday observations...

Anyone else notice the huge impact the rules change has had on the Wide Reciever position? I think the jury is still out on whether the change has been good or bad, but it certainly has resulted in higher scoring contests.

What do you guys think?

I thought Ham had lost by a very slim margin, but I didn't see it as slim as .10 until the GO post....wow that was close. EJ, your team is getting fucked more than an 'erotic' massage girl in Chico... Sympathies aside, you're gonna have to earn your way into the playoffs, and this week will be no exception. Yeah... Grossman... not much you can say about his performance tonight. Other than maybe, that's the Rex we always knew?

Check this though...

Saw in my pick em pool that I could win last week's tiebreaker, plus this weeks if I changed my MNF pick from Chicago to Arizona.

And then I fly to Utah tonight, and as I get off the plane, I see Arizona up 23-3 in the 3rd quarter and I'm stoked! Then I get to the closest bar and with 6+ minutes left in the game I see Grossman through another pick and I think I'm money...

Well you all know how it went from there. Painful.

Wow.....I like my victory in the Robeson bowl, but apparently not everyone does. Can't you laxy bastards vote on every game? Or do you not like to vote on obvious lopsided matchups? Most games got 8 votes, one got 9, a couple 7, and my expected victory only 5 fucking votes.....Suppose I can't complain too much; hell, even Keith didn't weigh in on our game.

Well, I am looking a little thin at RB. I am looking to pick one up for this week, so I want to make a trade ASAP. All offers considered. Ricci, you were right. I made the worst 5th round selection ever. Damn Culpepper. And to make it worse, you took McNabb in the next round. Hey, you have a buttload of RB's, how bout a trade? Let me know.

My Monday Predictions...

1. Stover will get the points delivering the drunkards their first much deserved victory. However, McNair still sucks balls and the Ravens are one of the most overrated teams in the league.

2. Tatum Bell will get the points as "The Snake" (by the way, next over hyped garbage free agent pick up QB for the Raiders you watch) actually breaks out of his flashback, puts down the booze for a week, and realizes he's not in Arizona.

3. Heap won't get the points. See #1.

4. I totally agree with Eric's assessment. Lewis is going to have his worst outing ever with mutiple fumbles. However, since suckNair sucks so bad, Billick will insert Lewis as a Wishbone QB. Unfortunately he will throw 2 INTs and get hurt. Sorry about that Game over.

5. Really.

6. 53 points is definitely possible. I am almost ready to concede to MJ.

7. Elam has a strong foot at mile high.. is it that strong? Watch the game and see!

Thoughts for Monday

1. Stover could go either way. If Balt scores a bunch of TD's courtesy of McNair, though, I'll be miffed.
2. Tatum Bell could also go either way.
3. Todd Heap could also also go either way.
4. I can see Lewis fumbling twice and throwing an interception on a trick play.
5. Really.
6. It is within the realm of possibility that the Ravens D drops 53 points on Denver.
7. Mason and Elam could...Ok, that ain't gonna happen.

So far, the most important Monday night of the year!

Lingering aftereffects of Pinecrest

The weekly Sacramento News & Review came out today, and I picked up a copy. I read through the usual lefty rants and music listings, and then started wading through all the Spicy Personals and ads at the back that enables them to offer the paper for free. Two things happened that hadn't happened previously:

1. I looked at every single massage ad.
2. I caught myself thinking, "Whoa, $120/hr is *way* too much."
